The Role of a Notary Public
A California Notary Public is a public officer, appointed by the Secretary of State of California, whose primary duty is help prevent fraud by witnessing the signing of documents. Fees

$15 for jurats, oaths,
acknowledgements, promissory notes, and for certifying a copy of a power of attorney

$30 for all depositions

Travel fees will be quoted prior to any appointment.
